Sept. 2022 Book Review

Here are my thoughts explained for the books I read this September:

Once There Were Wolves

by Charlotte McConaghy

Genre: Fiction Thriller

Rating: 8/10

Thoughts: The first 100 pages were slow and really about character development. This made the book not as addicting as I prefer. However, more becomes known and the ending is very powerful with all your questions answered!!

It Ends With Us

by Colleen Hoover

Genre: Fiction Romance

Rating: 9.4/10

Thoughts: Due to all the hype this book had, I knew I had to add it to my reading list. This was my first Colleen Hoover novel so I wasn't sure what to expect. The romance was true, sexy, and left you wanting more. I loved each character and loved getting insight into how the main character was thinking throughout the scenes. Romance novels are tricky for me. I often want a realistic ending rather than a fairytale ending but this book gives you both!! Highly recommend this read.

The Midnight Library

by Matt Haig

Genre: Fiction Fantasy

Rating: 7.3/10

Thoughts: This was a book that BookTok encouraged me to read. It starts very sad and ends with an uplifting outlook on life. However, I think this book was a little hyped. I did enjoy the easy, carefree reading this book offered with different perspectives. However, I am not sure I would recommend it to a friend. I'll let you be the judge!
